Hi world! Chris here. Belated Happy Thanksgiving to you all! I hope it was lovely. I know a lot of people tend to skip over this holiday in the race for Christmas, but I actually really love Thanksgiving. Probably because I love to eat, but also because I just love the fall. That’s why I’m excited that this year I get to stretch my Thanksgiving out even farther because my family isn’t celebrating until tomorrow because that’s when my sister and her husband will be in town.
However, that’s not the point in this post. This post is for all those people that put up their Christmas decorations the day after Halloween (*cough* my roommates *cough*) or start listening to Christmas music before Thanksgiving. I’ve asked some people why they do this and besides just loving the holiday, it’s because there’s no Thanksgiving music like there is Christmas music.
Well, nobody asked for it, but I decided to prove that notion wrong. After a deep dive into the recesses of Spotify, I have compiled a short, but worthwhile playlist of Thanksgiving songs. Enjoy!

‘Tis Autumn – Nat King Cole Trio

Autumn in New York – Frank Sinatra

Homeward Bound – Simon and Garfunkel

Everybody Eats when They Come to My House – Cab Calloway and His Orchestra

Early Autumn – Ella Fitzgerald

The Thanksgiving Song – Ben Rector

Thanksgiving Prayer – Johnny Cash

Sweet Potato Pie – Ray Charles and James Taylor

Almost Thanksgiving Day – Graham Parker

Autumn Leaves – Nat King Cole Trio
I’m not sure I had ever heard any of these songs before I went on this mission, but I actually really like some of them. They actually sound like traditional Christmas songs just about fall instead of winter so that’s awesome. Hopefully you all will like that too. I guess it’s a little too late to listen to them now as Christmas season has officially started, but maybe you can save them for next year!
In the meantime, stay safe out there!
P.S. I made the pumpkin pie for my family’s Thanksgiving this year and I have never made any pie before ever, so I have no idea how this is going to turn out. I’ll keep you updated in next week’s post.

So glad that you included The Thanksgiving Prayer by Johnny Cash. I love that one!
