The Time to Pray

Hi world! Chris here. Instead of writing a regular post, I wanted to use this week to ask you guys for a favor. There are a lot of things going on in the world right now that are making this year a big point in our history. Because of that, I want to ask you to use the time you would normally need to read a post to say a prayer instead.

Matthew 22:39 calls us to love others as much as we love ourselves. It’s a commandment second only to loving God with all our heart, mind, body and soul. Neither of these things are being accurately followed while there is racial injustice in the world. Let’s pray to end that.

1 John 2:11 declares that hating anyone is a sign that you’ve been blinded by darkness. Well, there’s a lot of hate in this world and it is past time it came to an end. Let’s pray to start loving one another instead.

1 Corinthians 12:13, Galatians 3:28, and Romans 10:12 are all reminders that we come from one Lord that loves us all equally. Let’s pray for us to start showing that equality too.

I could go on, but this isn’t supposed to be a post about me talking, so I’ll end it now. All I ask is that you take some time to pray for justice, healing, and love. This is the perfect time to seek His guidance.

If you are interested in finding other ways that you can help make a difference or want to learn a little bit more about the Black Lives Matter movement, I will include some sources below. Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully pray as well. Please stay safe out there and kind as well.
